Nothing is taken for granted!

By Ilaria Ventura | Project Leader

Casa Tuendelee passed last months in harmony and serenity: we spent summer playing, laughing swimming in the local pool.

Here is a short story of one of our operators that we want to share with you:

“Going to the pool in summer is an experience that sooner or later in life we all do. Especially when it is very hot, it is a way to stay cool and spend a different day, waiting for holidays or as an alternative to the sea when you can not go. For someone who has never seen a pool, it is an unforgettable experience. I propose to a mother to go to the pool, to face a very hot day, she agrees with enthusiasm telling me that she does not know what it takes to go to the pool. We get the necessary, cream, diapers for the water for her baby, bathing suit for the mother, towel... we’re off! We enter the pool and Mom looks at me incredulously: "but it’s beautiful here, it’s all clean and tidy, that’s beautiful here, it’s all clean and tidy, that’s nice!". We enter the water and she and her child play and have fun between discoveries and a few drinks. As we return, the happy mother tells me that when she arrived in Italy she met many people who have advised badly, this experience of hospitality is also showing her another side of our country. The good face of... the more the mother tells, the more I realize that the real work of accompaniment is not only in supporting and being, but also in insinuating into the hearts of our guests that human beings, after all, can be trusted, because they all have a good part worth knowing”.

Now it’s time to go back to school!

A great news: one of our mothers is finally ready to left the centr! Leaving the center means going back to live alone, testing her economic and relational independence. We are very proud of her and we will be ready to support her in case of need!
Good luck friend!

With this good news, we take the opportunity to thank you again and wish you the best!
