Social Housing for struggling women in Milan

Dear Donors,

after this period of celebration, we would like to share with all of you an update about all the activities of Tuendelee Home, our social housing partner in Melzo (Milan) that works in order to provide young mothers with their children with psychological and economic support and training. The big purpose of all Tuendelee’s staff (educators and psychologists) is supporting these hosted mothers to become economically independent and to integrate into the local community.

Our partner reports really good news about the activities of the last months and about the future actions. During December Tuendelee has organized workshops related to Christmas celebrations. A new mother with 3 children has been hosted in the co-homing area and they will be supported by the project. A family has been moved to an independent flat in Melzo: this is the real signal of their empowerment and of all the engagement of the Foundation and the recipients!

Tuendelee Home has also planned future activities: since the 26^th of January all the mothers with children aged between 0 and 3 years old will take part into mutual aid meetings. These moments are thought for single mums and allows them to share experiences and common difficulties.

Tuendelee has also activated a project of volunteering in families in which two new volunteers will operate alongside the educators and two new families in their daily life. This demonstrates the actual presence of the local community beside the families of the territory.

Thanks to your help Tuendelee Foundation can support a great number of Italian and mainly foreign mothers and children of the province of Milan. Late us take the opportunity to thank all of you for your precious support and for embracing our case!
