Social Housing for struggling women in Milan

Dear Donors,

with this report we would like to tell you how all the mothers and children hosted at Tuendelee Home have passed this summer and which are the future plans for the new recipient families.

In general, all the mothers and children hosted have spent a peaceful summer and some of them have been able to spend some days on holiday. One mother with her 11 years old daugther have obtained the possibility to live in a low-income housing flat thanks to the help of the Municipality: this great news will allow this family to leave the project and to start a new independent life together.

During the month of August all the educators that work for the project have organized different activities thought in order to keep children entertained during the school break. In particular, some children and mothers took part in the creation of a mural in the backyard of the house, together with other families and children hosted in the near foster home. This has been a great chance of socialization and sharing!

What about future plans? Another family - a mother and two children – will leave the project next month because the mother has reached a great level of independence. Moreover, next week the project will welcome two new families after the terrible storm that hit Milan and a lot of cities in the province of Milan, destroying homes and streets. Thanks to your help we can support more families and children in need also during emergencies!
