Dear Donors,
The project promoted by the Tuendelee Foundation has continued to offer concrete support to families in economic and social difficulty, with particular attention to refugee families living in Melzo (MI) and neighboring municipalities.
During the first semester of the year, three new families were welcomed: a mother with a baby of only 8 months, a single woman, and two mothers with girls aged 2 and 3. At the same time, three families completed their journey: two mothers were assigned a council house, while a third continued her journey in another housing project, more suited to her current needs. These paths represent not only a goal for the families involved, but also a confirmation of the value of attentive and personalized support.
In March, in collaboration with the Libera association, we participated in the march for peace against the mafia. A moment of strong civil commitment and connection with the local community. We have also expanded the spaces dedicated to protected meetings for minors: today three external children come to our headquarters to meet their natural parents in a safe and welcoming environment.
In June we also reactivated a beautiful synergy with the Around project of the Milagro Association, which involved girls and boys from middle school in a cooking workshop: a practical, creative and educational moment, that brought together young people and operators through the universal language of food. In this regard, our regular appointment continues successfully: “Let’s cook together”, the monthly evening in which guests, volunteers and community members meet to prepare and share simple recipes. In addition to the pleasure of conviviality, these meetings offer precious opportunities for learning, dialogue and integration.
Our goal remains to accompany each family on a path towards autonomy: offering accommodation, psychological support, economic and work orientation, and opportunities for training and socialization. The road is often complex, but every step forward is a shared achievement.
All this is also possible thanks to your support.
Every gesture of solidarity turns into a new opportunity for those who need to start over.
