Socioeducational program for teenagers in prisons

We were able to fully reinstate our core Puentes Educativos program — our socioemotional program that places fellows to work with teenagers in prisons. This included three new teachers, significantly expanding our capacity to reach more students and deepening the program's impact. Also provided positioned us to successfully pursue and secure new funding opportunities, which will support the program’s growth and long-term sustainability.

Milestone 1: Full reactivation of Puentes Educativos Puentes Educativos is an educational program we run in partnership with INISA, serving incarcerated teenagers in Montevideo. We successfully restored the program to full capacity (100%).
Milestone 2: Hiring of 3 new Fellows As part of our original plan for Puentes Educativos, we intended to bring in three new teaching fellows. These fellows are now supporting program delivery, ensuring that each participant receives more individualized attention and a richer learning experience.
Milestone 3: Path to Sustainability and New Funding By bridging our immediate funding gap, this grant allowed us to maintain operational stability and credibility with our different stakeholders. This continuity was essential in securing additional program-specific funds, which have now put us on a stronger path toward financial sustainability.

Today, Puentes Educativos program continues working to ensure that education reaches those who need it most — knowing that with timely support, it is possible to transform lives, even in the most challenging contexts.
