                                  Alternative activity for Flood-Damaged Recovery.

PROTIBANADHI SHISHU SHIEKKHA O PARICHARJA SAMITY (PROSHIPS) has been actively supporting persons with disabilities in the Jamalpur district, Bangladesh. During the reporting period On the Dated 06th April 2025 conducted Orientation Program on House based poultry farming & inclusive disaster risk reduction orientation for alternative Flood damaged recovery activity with 30 Women & adolescent girls in the community. They are learn to how to home based goat & Poultry farming in their own initiatives. They are very much happy for organization providing support. In the short term, this activity has provided immediate relief, ensuring survival and basic needs. Families received livestock, which contributed to their nutrition and income.

The primary goal of the project was to ensure sustainable recovery for persons with disabilities and their families by addressing their immediate needs and rebuilding their livelihoods. Providing essential relief materials, including food, educational supplies, and sanitation facilities. Supporting disabled families with livestock (goats, Duck &Hens) for home-based poultry farming. Ensuring access to clean drinking water through tube wells installation. Assisting families in regaining self-sufficiency post-flood.

This initiative promotes financial independence through livestock rearing, allowing families to generate income. Access to clean water and sanitation will have lasting health benefits, reducing disease risks. The community as a whole benefits from economic recovery, improved hygiene, and educational continuity for children.

While significant progress has been made, continued support is crucial. Many families still struggle to rebuild their lives.
