A few weeks ago, we announced on our social media pages that we had reached one of our fundraising goals. Thanks to donations received through GlobalGiving and the Honey Rock Foundation in Louisiana, we successfully raised enough funding to install the first phase of solar paneling on the clinic. We’ve now begun the installation process and are excited about switching to solar energy, as this means we will be able to reduce operating costs. This has been a major sustainability goal for us because it will allow us to have funds left over to channel into patient care and outreach to the surrounding communities.
