Thanks to Pteah Baitong, Entrepreneurs du Monde’s energy access program in Cambodia, Nhornh can access energy. She testifies!
“I started working when I was 12 years old. I planted rice and made $1.25 a day. So, as soon as I could, I went to Malaysia to work as a domestic helper. I was 19 years old. After 5 years, I returned to Cambodia. I’m now married to a nice man and we have two daughters. We’re a happy, united family.
I have my own business: I sell groceries and cooked meals. It’s going well because I’m a hard worker and a good cook. The food I make has a good reputation and my customers are loyal.
