Since our last report in October 2025, ATC has installed solar home units and ceramic water filters in an additional 23 homes in rural Guatemala. This brings our total to 48 installations toward our current goal of 100 additional families by July 2026.
Most recently, on Saturday, February 21, 2026, 10 home installations were completed in partnership with the ACTOCHI Midwives Association.
These systems were installed by Rubén, ATC’s project lead in Guatemala. ACTOCHI midwives continue to identify families in greatest need and teach households how to properly use and maintain their ceramic water filters. During Saturday’s installation visit, the midwives identified seven additional families in need of these systems — a strong affirmation that this work is valued and trusted within their communities.
Each installation represents more than a one-time intervention. ATC operates in the infrastructure and capacity development space — building durable, locally appropriate systems that strengthen communities long-term. Reliable solar lighting improves maternal safety and educational continuity. Clean water reduces preventable illness. Together, these foundational systems create the platform upon which health, education, and economic stability can grow.
This progress is possible because of you.
Your support does not fund temporary aid. It builds lasting infrastructure — energy, water, and local capacity — that continues delivering impact long after installation day. As demand grows and midwives continue identifying additional families, we are grateful for the steady partnership that allows us to respond thoughtfully and sustainably.
