This project aims to support people affected by the earthquake in Morocco. Our Polish Humanitarian Action Emergency Relief Team is on the site to assess the scale of the needs and immediately begin relief efforts, which will focus on humanitarian assistance in the form of food/hygiene kits and shelter. Support this fundraising and help us respond as soon as possible!
More than 2,800 people were killed and more than 2,500 injured in a powerful earthquake measuring 6.8 on the Richter scale that struck western Morocco. The number of casualties could be much higher, as many people are still trapped under rubble or unreachable. Residents of towns and villages in the foothills of the High Atlas Mountains were most affected, and the tremors were also strongly felt in Marrakech. Many buildings were damaged or destroyed, and roads in the mountains may be impassable.
Our Polish Humanitarian Action Emergency Relief Team is on site to assess the scale of the needs and immediately begin relief efforts, which will focus on humanitarian assistance in the form of food parcels, hygiene parcels and shelter. It is known that the needs are enormous, as hundreds of thousands of people have lost all their life's possessions and the roof over their heads due to the cataclysm.
This project aims to deliver immediate humanitarian aid such as food and hygiene kits and shelter to earthquake victims in Morocco. The situation is changing dynamically, so the funds raised will allow us to adjust our activities accordingly and provide assistance that meets the most urgent needs.
