It is very difficult to ask farmers to wash their hands regularly with soap and water while they do not have enough water to drink.
With the global health crisis generated by covid-19. Its impact on the socio-economic conditions of more than 4 million Haitians who were already in acute food insecurity became more devastating. Farmers are starving because they had no food reserves. The elderly are exhausted and many have already given up their souls due to lack of food.
We are going to provide social support to vulnerable families by distributing dry rations of food, soap, chlorine, washable and reusable masks, and we also need some front thermometers to take the temperatures of the farmers to allow us to provide them. separate from the rest of their family and quarantine them. We also need to install handwashing stations to allow farmers to comply with hygiene rules. We count greatly on your solidarity.
We believe that organizations with deep roots in local communities are in the best position to carry out long-term plans to stop COVID-19.
