Baark!'s Mobile Clinic: Getting Started in Nassau

We are so excited to share how busy we have been so far for the second quarter of 2022!

With the arrival of the Mobile Clinic, the team has had their hand's full learning best practices and figuring everything out.

We certainly have been moving around...

March 21st 2022 - Baark!'s mobile clinic arrived in Nassau!
Week 1 - Tuesday March 22 - Saturday, March 26 at Caves Vet Clinic - stocking and learning about the mobile clinic and doing our first surgeries
Week 2 - Tuesday March 29th - Saturday April 2nd - The Team was at the Bahamas Humane Society helping with the backlog of surgeries
Week 3 - Tuesday April 5 - Saturday April 9th - The Team was at the Bahamas Humane Society and on Friday April 8th and Saturday April 9th we had our Grand Opening Events!
Week 4 - Wednesday April 13th and 14th - finish at BHS & Easter Holiday
Week 5 - Wednesday April 20th - Sunday, April 24th - Centreville
Week 6 - Wednesday April 27 - Sunday, May 1 - Centreville
Week 7 - Wednesday May 4 - Saturday May 7 - The team went to San Salvador for a small MASH clinic (without the mobile clinic)
Week 8 - Wednesday May 11 - Sunday May 15th - Centreville
Week 9 - Wednesday May 18 - Sunday May 22 - BASH, Chippingham
Week 10 - Wednesday May 25 - Sunday May 29 - BASH, Chippingham

We will keep moving around New Providence for the foreseeable future.

Some of our highlights since the mobile clinic arrived...

Children coming out and volunteering!
The Bahamian Government pledging funding to Baark! for the first time since our inception!
Lots of spays and neuters prevent lots of unwanted puppies and kittens from being born
Tremendous positivity from the animal welfare community
Building our volunteer program
Starting our weekend Education Program

We have a busy summer ahead. We are very excited that three veterinary students are coming from France for 3 weeks to volunteer with us as we definitely need the help!
