Thank you for your generous support for the poor kids in day care centers through GlobalGiving Charity Organization.

As part of our regular initiatives and after massive floods in 2009 many of the poorer families re-located to the metropolitan cities, nearby towns, districts of AP & Telangana. At that time, we have identified some of the families and gone to their places and spent time with them few days to know their requirements for livelihoods, children education and shelter. As far as our observation, parents used to leave their children at the homes & kids were used to play in the human dung areas, swim in the nearby ponds. So we thought of there should be started some education-recreation-meal centers for these destitute children. As per their desire we have established day care centers for the kids of poor parents who are living in below poverty.

After establishing 3 day care centers for the kids age group of 1 to 6 years with 30 children to take care by 2 care takers in each center. Parents goes to the work places by 9.30 am and come back by 4 pm to work as daily wage labourers in nearby places till then the children keep at our child care premises safely and we provide snacks, nutritious food, education through play items to these children. Children are habituated proper combing, learning alphabets, rhymes, identifying the fruits through educating charts, wearing cleanly washed clothes. We are very happy to see the so much of improvement on the children in day care centers.

Greetings from SERUDS

First of all thank you so much for your generosity & kindness for the poor kids of economically disadvantaged parents. In Prajanagar, Kurnool many of the poor families everyday goes to the different nearby towns and villages for the daily wage labour work. During the job hours the parents leave their children in the day care centres established by SERUDS Charity.

Creche centres have established in different places of Kurnool for the welfare of children. Children come to the day care centers morning at 9.30 and leave the center at 3pm. During working hours in the crèches children learn alphabets, rhymes, habituations, playing, cleanliness, hygiene, proper dressing, washing of hands, wearing washed dresses, proper combing, etc.

Care Takers look after their needs in the day care centers during the time. The age group of the kids are 1 to 6 years they mingle with other inmates during the school time. Morning and evening providing refreshments like biscuits, chocolates, and seasonal fruits to the kids. Afternoon providing any of these combination of two items, lunch like kitchidi, lemon rice, tomato curry, dhal, upma, steamed cooked rice, butter milk. Kids are very happy and showing interest to come to the day care centers regularly without crying. We are able to see smiles on little cute faces of the children.
