Happy New Year!

Our mentorship class for high school students
Our mentorship class for high school students

Tumaini stands today in a remarkable position, thanks to the skills and unwavering dedication of our teams. Their commitment to delivering quality service to our beneficiaries has been exemplary. Every day, our teams contribute to the development of young people, communities, education, and child safeguarding. As we move forward, it is crucial to maintain this dedication, reinforcing our mission through unity and commitment.

We recognize that Tumaini thrives not in isolation but through meaningful interactions with the people who trust, support, and partner with us—those we serve, collaborate with, and rely on for resources. Your role in shaping this organization has been pivotal. You have made it possible for us to reach where we are today and to accomplish what we do. For this, we extend our heartfelt gratitude.

We had an extended holiday, during which all our children were out of school. At the same time, we had both the Primary and High School National Exams. After the exams, we organized a mentorship program for all the students, which was truly wonderful. Every child attended, and they had a great time, especially the high school students, as they came from different schools. Following the mentorship program, we held our annual Guideligh Camp, which saw an overwhelming turnout – over 230 children, including 130 youths and 100 primary pupils. This initiative plays a crucial role in mentoring our children across various aspects of life and helps keep them engaged during the holidays. It also gives us a valuable opportunity to offer guidance based on their academic performances. What you're doing in these children's lives is truly remarkable

In 2024, Tumaini proudly supported 280 children at Brightsmile Primary School and an additional 30 children from other schools within the community. These children received essential support, including stationery, academic assistance, and lunch at school. For those in other schools, we provided financial aid to cover their education and ensure their well-being while at home with their guardians or parents.

We are delighted to share that 34 of our beneficiaries successfully graduated from primary school and are set to join Junior Secondary this year. Their results have been incredibly fulfilling and hold great promise for the future.

Additionally, we supported 62 students across various high schools, four of whom graduated in 2024. These graduates have achieved excellent results and are all set to join the university. Their time in school was well-supported, with all necessary provisions in place, and they are thrilled to see the fruits of their hard work. This would not have happened without your efforts and commitment to this cause. You have played a big role in this and you are not only making a difference in an individual child's life but to the entire community. Once again thank you.

These achievements are a testament to the impact of our shared efforts, and we look forward to continuing this journey together.

Lastly, we are requesting that you consider sharing the wonderful work you are doing with family and friends to join us reach out to more vulnerable children. We have received many children needing our support so that they can be in school.  These children have either lost one parent or both and we are not able to admit them because we don't have sponsors for them. Together we can have these children in school.

Thank you
