Sponsor a child's education for USD 10 per month

To our donors,

Team Mision Huascaran wishes you and your loved ones find themselves in good health. These times are still challenging in Peru, but we face them with optimism and a lot of positive energy. We continue to advance with our educational project “Sponsor a child's education for USD 10 per month”. We would like to share our progress and say thank you for all the support.

Actions accomplished

1. We continue with our complementary educational program in reading comprehension, literacy, and critical thinking at 6 rural schools in Ancash Peru.
2. In the first quarter of 2023, our kids have read +600 books with the interactive Raz kids reading platform.
3. In the  peruvian summer months, we held a series of Functional Summer workshop for our alumni. They watched educational movies while enjoying some popcorn. Furthermore, they were allowed free play time in the didactic library.
4. Late march, due to some freak weather events, the 2023 school classes started again. We are aiming to teach over 1000 hours of comprehensive reading and critical thinking classes.
5. Our goal is to have an average reading program attendance rate of our students higher than 90% in 2023.
6. At the end of March 2023, +200 Tablets were available for the children at 6 schools’ libraries. Thanks to some generous donations of various benefactor organizations.
