For our first semester back after two years of studying online, we started the year off with great energy. Our teachers have been super motivated and have launched all kinds of exciting new progrmas and projects. By the end of the first semester, we have successfully created a huge school garden and miniature zoo. We established boys and girls soccer practice schedule for the middle school students. We've received enough laptops to bring back our computer programming by the end of the year. Our English and Environmental Education programs continue strong. Finally, we are planning a huge arts presentation in town for the end of November.
Students in Canoa were recently evaluated to see where they stand academically after two years of pandemic. We were proud to see how our students shined! While other local schools were not able to provide consistent classes due to technical problems or lack of administrative support, we continued strong. Your support of our sponsorship program ensured that many of our students could continue even when their families faced economic hardship. Now, we see how important Los Algarrobos School is in the community, truly providing a better education. Thank you so much!
The next big match opportunity will be Giving Tuesday on November 29, 2022. Donations at this time will ensure that we can cover all of our teachers pay and programming until the end of the school year. Thank you!
