READING FESTIVAL AT “LOS ALGARROBOS”
On August 21 and 22, the private school “Los Algarrobos” enthusiastically celebrated the Reading Festival, a day dedicated to fostering a love for books and creativity.
The Reading Festival in Ecuador is celebrated to promote a passion for reading, strengthen creativity, and bring children and young people closer to books, while also valuing local culture, art, and identity. This program has been held nationwide since 2013, encouraged by the Ministry of Education to foster reading habits in schools.
During the event, students took part in a variety of activities, including recitations, storytelling, musical performances, and theatrical presentations. Each performance showcased the talent and dedication of the students, demonstrating that reading not only enriches knowledge but also nurtures imagination and artistic expression.
The Reading Festival was a vibrant celebration of culture, talent, and joy. We had an art contest, our students creativity and effort helped them stand out among their peers.
A group of students wore traditional costumes and performed an indigenous dances, honoring our roots and showcasing pride in our customs.
This program not only fostered a love for reading but also promoted art, music, and the cultural identity of our students.

Thanks to the support of families, teachers, volunteers, sponsors, and friends from the community, we continue to grow steadily, always focused on the well-being and holistic development of our children.
With gratitude,
Los Algarrobos School
