At Fundación DEHVI we have included reused materials and loose pieces to encourage children's creativity, as well as environmental awareness.
Imagination is the main ingredient of this bet, since it defines the new life of the materials, which can be transformed into story characters or even cities.
A group of children took on the task of designing how they wanted the community where they live to be in their "Imagino y Construyo" project. They toured the community and learned about design with an architect advise…spoiler alert: their city has many parks, water, and houses with animals.
The initiative of reused materials has been extended to the families that participate in our Creative Homes project, giving a unique result of their creations.
Transforming these materials open us to the possibility of reinventing ourselves using our creativity, this is a necessary skill for resilience, especially in times of pandemic.
