Vision Awake Africa For Development (VAAFD) family is grateful to all you for your philanthropic support in our organization. Unfortunately most of our beneficiaries are facing a lot of financial constraints this semester.
This semester, VAAFD family is facing the daunting reality of covering most of their beneficiaries’ tuition without the usual support. Last semester, the USAID program eased our financial worries by covering 80% of our beneficiaries’ fees.
However, the unexpected news of USAID’s temporary absence has thrown a wrench into our plans. The university’s requirement to pay 50% of the fees has further complicated our situation, adding to the financial pressure.
When VAAFD media team interviewed Harriet, a beneficiary of VAAFD, she said “the uncertainty of how to manage her finances while focusing on her studies is a heavy burden. Despite our efforts, we haven’t found a viable way to cover our tuition. As the final exam approaches, the pressure is increasing.”
This project is in dire need of funding to continue. We’re working very hard to make a difference, but we can’t do it alone. We are asking donors to please support our scholarship program, because it will help students to overcome financial barriers and pursue their educational goals.
Every donation, no matter the size, brings us closer to our goal. We believe in transparency, and we promise to use your contributions wisely. Join us in making a real change!
