We deeply appreciate your generous donation of food supplies to the underprivileged elderly in Pasupala Village, Kurnool.SERUDS has been committed to supporting destitute senior citizens through our Monthly Groceries Distribution Program, helping them live with dignity and self-respect.

Many of these elderly women were once pillars of their families but are now neglected and left to live alone in poor conditions. Due to age and declining health, they can no longer work or earn their livelihood. Your kindness enables them to live independently and meet their daily needs without depending on anyone.

Each month, we identify and support 20 elderly women aged 60 to 90 years by providing essential groceries such as rice, lentils, tamarind, cooking oil, groundnuts, flour, bathing and washing soaps, fruits, vegetables, and biscuits. On the first of every month, our team visits the village to personally deliver these supplies and spend time encouraging them to stay strong and hopeful.

Our Journey 

Thirteen years ago, we launched this program in response to the heartbreaking conditions faced by neglected senior citizens. Many were malnourished, ailing, and left without family care. Determined to bring them dignity and comfort, we began distributing monthly groceries and essentials to ensure they never go hungry again.

How We Serve

Each month, in collaboration with local community leaders, we identify the most vulnerable elderly individuals and carefully assess their needs. At present, we support 20 elders, aged between 60 and 90 years, in Pasupala Village.

The monthly provisions include:

• Staples: Toor Dal, Tamarind, lentils, Sona Masoori rice, Atta (wheat flour), Upma Rava, groundnuts.

• Essentials: Spices, cooking oil, bathing and detergent soaps, hair oil.

• Nutrition: Fresh seasonal fruits, vegetables, and biscuits..

On the first of every month, we personally procure, pack, and distribute these groceries in the village. The gratitude, smiles, and blessings we receive from these elders remind us why this work is so vital. For many, this monthly support is the difference between hunger and health, despair and dignity.
