As we welcome the New Year, we would like to express our sincere appreciation for your generous support toward improving the lives of disadvantaged and neglected elderly individuals in our community. Your compassion continues to bring comfort, dignity, and hope to those who need it most.

For over fourteen years, SERUDS has been consistently supporting 20 elderly men and women living in Pasupala Village, Kurnool Mandal & District, Andhra Pradesh. These senior citizens, aged between 60 and 90 years, face the natural challenges of aging along with chronic health conditions and social neglect. Many of them are living alone or without regular family care.

To ensure their basic needs are met with dignity, we provide monthly grocery provisions, which include:

• Sona Masoori rice

• Toor dal and other lentils

• Cooking oil and spices

• Tamarind and red chili powder

• Bathing and washing soaps

• Hair oil and biscuits

These essential provisions have significantly improved their nutrition, health, and independence, enabling them to manage daily life without having to depend entirely on distant or unavailable family members.

In many cases, their sons and daughters have migrated to other towns or districts for work and are unable to provide consistent support. Some elderly beneficiaries live with neighbors and use the provisions to prepare their meals, while others still retain the strength and independence to cook for themselves. Despite their difficult circumstances, they express deep gratitude and heartfelt appreciation for this ongoing assistance, which has greatly enhanced their quality of life.

Your continued contributions make it possible for us to sustain this monthly support program. Without your kindness and unwavering commitment, serving these vulnerable elderly individuals would be extremely challenging.

Over eleven years ago, SERUDS began supporting neglected and destitute elderly women by providing monthly food provisions. What started as a small initiative has become a vital lifeline for senior citizens who have no family support, income, or physical ability to work. Your generosity enables us to continue this much-needed service in Pasupala Village, Kurnool District, Andhra Pradesh.

Our team regularly visits rural communities to identify elderly persons who are truly in need. With increasing requests for support from vulnerable seniors, we strive to serve as many as possible despite limited resources. Currently, 20 elderly individuals between the ages of 60 and 90 receive monthly grocery kits, which include Sona Masoori rice, lentils, tar dal, cooking oil, spices, tamarind, bathing and washing soaps, biscuits, groundnuts, atta, rava, seasonal vegetables, fruits, and other essentials. On the first week of every month, all beneficiaries gather at a central location in the village to receive their supplies with dignity and care.

These monthly provisions have significantly improved the health and well-being of the elderly women we serve. Many of them live alone, in fragile huts, with no source of income and no family to rely on. Your support ensures they have nutritious food, personal care items, and the reassurance that they are not forgotten.
