We are delighted to share that, once again SERUDS Charity has been recognized by GlobalGiving for its impactful projects. We are honored to have received the esteemed acknowledgment as a Vetted, Site-Visited, and Top-Ranked nonprofit organization. This recognition not only highlights our commitment but also inspires us to continue our work for those in the greatest need.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to you for sponsoring monthly provisions for the impoverished elderly in Pasupala Village, Kurnool. For the past 16 years, we have been dedicated to supporting 20 neglected elderly individuals in this community by providing monthly grocery kits, made possible through the generosity of individual donors. Many elderly people in this village face homelessness, extreme poverty, and isolation, often with no family to care for them in times of illness. In such challenging circumstances, SERUDS has stepped forward, consistently supporting them with essential groceries and medical supplies.
Providing these monthly grocery kits is crucial in helping these elderly individuals meet their basic needs. Our team of volunteers, staff, and community leaders regularly visits the village to assess each individual’s background and needs, ensuring that the provisions reach those who are genuinely struggling. Currently, 20 elderly people, ranging from 60 to 90 years old, receive these monthly grocery kits, which include Sona Masoori rice, lentils (tamarind dal), tamarind, bathing and detergent soaps, cooking oils, groundnuts, upma rava, wheat flour, fresh seasonal fruits, vegetables, and biscuits. During the first week of each month, we purchase all necessary items and, with the help of our dedicated volunteers, distribute them to each elderly individual.
Thanks to your kindness and generosity in sponsoring these groceries, we are able to bring joy and relief to these elderly individuals. Your support brings smiles and a sense of hope to their lives, making a meaningful difference to each of them.
