Workforce Empowerment in Sierra Leone

Thanks to your generous support, Sahr, a talented artist in Freetown, received high-quality paint supplies that are difficult to find or purchase in Sierra Leone. Sahr is full of potential and loves to create artwork on canvas, and your donation of quality supplies has enabled him to continue pursuing his passion for painting.

Sahr was thrilled to receive the supplies and expressed his heartfelt gratitude for the opportunity to create his increasingly popular artwork. CNN recently spoke to Sahr in an interview, highlighting his efforts to change the negative narrative of pursuing an art career in Sierra Leone.  You can watch the interview here

Hi, I’m Theresa Harding, Programs Coordinator, at Develop Africa Sierra Leone. Since inception, we’ve provided educational scholarships, girls' mentoring platforms, vocational training opportunities, and interest-free microfinance to vulnerable women in deprived communities in Sierra Leone. We are happy to join the world, to celebrate International Women's Day. In that regard, we want to share with you, stories from our beneficiaries.

We are Develop Africa girls, as we celebrate International Women's day today, we want to say a happy International Women’s day to all the women in the World.
