Mariama Started her Business thanks to a Microfinance Loan

By Amy M Baty-Herbert | Project Coordinator

Mariama

Dear Project Supporters,

Your generous ongoing support is empowering small businesses with microfinance loans. These microfinance or microcredit loans give individuals a helping hand to start their businesses or to help them grow their existing businesses. Mariama, a flood and mudslide survivor, recently received a microfinance loan to start her clothing and soft drink business.

In her video, Mariama expresses her appreciation saying -

Hi, my name is Mariama and we were affected by the flood in 2017.  I am one of the beneficiaries of the microfinance loan and I am very excited because I  was able to start up a small scale business in the sales of clothing and soft drinks like these.  I am so thankful for the microfinance loan.   I want to say thank you to GlobalGiving from me, and also thank you for helping me take care of my family.

We welcome your continued support in providing microfinance loans to individuals like Mariama. You are helping provide these individuals with the ability to become self-sufficient and provide a better life for themselves and their families.   We encourage you to consider starting a monthly recurring donation here.  Even a few dollars a month will go a long way.  Please also share this with your contacts and invite them to consider supporting this ongoing project.

If you have any questions, please feel free to email us at GlobalGiving@developafrica.org.

With great appreciation,

Amy &The Develop Africa Team
