Dear Project Supporters,

Your generous support is continuing to provide microfinance loans even during the COVID-19 pandemic. Your support is helping small businesses, like Olivette's, during these challenging times.

Olivette is a single parent, her husband left her with four boys years back and since then she has been struggling to meet the needs of her kids. Olivette owns a small shop in her community where she sells a variety of stocks like; provision, sachet water, school supplies, and kitchen utensils. She received a microfinance loan in early October and on October 21, 2020, Olivette was visited at her business place, to get an update on how supportive the microfinance loan has been to her family.

According to Olivette, she is very grateful for having been provided with the interest-free microfinance loan and says in this video-

Good afternoon my name is Olivette and I am one of the people that benefited from the microfinance sponsorship. I have two kids with Develop Africa; Frederick and Timothy; they are both students. I am very grateful for having been provided with this microfinance loan. It came in at the nick of time when I needed help for the business that I run. Basically, with the provision of the microfinance loan and the business I do, I am able to provide lunch, money, transportation, and it also ensures that we have our daily meals. It has been a blessing and I am ever so grateful. Because of the microfinance loan, I am able to have money which I would be able to spend around for very important and necessary things in the house. So I am very grateful. I am thankful to all of you for sponsoring us, I received this about two months ago, and as I said it has been a blessing. I am very very grateful and I thank the Lord God almighty for using you to ensure that we have this finance, God bless you.

Your support is helping individuals like Olivette become self-sufficient and provide a better life for their families. Our recurring donors truly make a lasting difference. If you haven't had the chance to sign up for a recurring donation yet, we encourage you to consider starting a monthly recurring donation here. Even a few dollars a month will go a long way to give individuals a hand up in their businesses. Please also share this with your contacts and invite them to consider supporting this ongoing project.

If you have any questions, please feel free to email us at GlobalGiving@developafrica.org.

With great appreciation,
