Workforce training is an essential element in empowering young people to build careers where they can thrive and contribute to their communities. Develop Africa recently held a photography and video editing workshop for young adults in Freetown, Sierra Leone. These workshops go beyond teaching practical skills; they open doors to new career paths and provide participants with opportunities to express their creativity while learning to adapt to the demands of the modern job market.
Meet Alimamy, a Media Volunteer at Develop Africa
Alimamy, one of our committed media volunteers, is a shining example of the impact of this type of training. Passionate about media, Alimamy uses his expertise to help Develop Africa enhance the visibility of its programs and initiatives. His work, particularly in subtitling videos before they are uploaded to our platform, ensures that our content is accessible and engaging for a wide-ranging global audience, including donors and partners. His dedication makes a meaningful difference in how we communicate our impact to the world.
Workforce empowerment workshops, like the one that equipped Alimamy and others with media skills, are made possible thanks to the generosity of supporters like you. These workshops not only build valuable career skills but also inspire young people to discover new possibilities for their futures.
Your ongoing support helps support more vital training sessions that empower the next generation. Together, we can continue building brighter futures for young adults across Sierra Leone.
