In today’s world, computer literacy is no longer optional—it’s essential. In Sierra Leone, access to computer training is transforming lives, empowering young adults with the practical skills needed to succeed in school, find meaningful employment, and build confidence in an increasingly digital society.
From January 15 to October 17, 2025, students in the Develop Africa Sierra Leone (DASL) computer lab learned Microsoft Office using key applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Publisher. Participants learned how to:
The program emphasized teamwork, practical learning, and digital problem-solving—helping students gain valuable 21st-century skills that will serve them throughout their academic and professional journeys.
The graduation ceremony celebrated the success of 30 students, who completed the program. Parents, instructors, and community members joined in recognizing their achievements. Certificates of completion were awarded, and motivational speeches inspired the graduates to continue building on their newfound knowledge.
