At Develop Africa, workforce empowerment means preparing students not only with technical knowledge but also with the practical skills they need to succeed in the professional world. Thanks to your support, students participating in our Computer Training Program are gaining both digital skills and career readiness tools that help them transition from learning to earning.
Students learned that a resume is more than a list of activities—it is a powerful tool for presenting their skills, achievements, and work ethic to potential employers or educational institutions. Daniel encouraged them to clearly describe their responsibilities and accomplishments, including technical experience such as computer maintenance, as well as teamwork, project involvement, and other contributions that demonstrate initiative and leadership.
The session was highly interactive, allowing students to ask questions and receive personalized advice about which experiences to highlight and how to present them effectively. Through this mentorship-style approach, students gained a better understanding of how to communicate their strengths and prepare for future job opportunities, internships, and higher education.
By integrating IT training with career guidance, Develop Africa helps students build confidence and develop the practical skills needed to succeed in today’s workforce. These lessons go beyond the classroom—empowering students to take the next steps toward meaningful employment and professional growth.
Your generous support makes programs like this possible. By investing in workforce empowerment, you are helping equip the next generation with the tools they need to build sustainable careers, support their families, and contribute positively to their communities.
Thank you for helping us empower students with both skills and opportunity. Together, we are preparing young people for brighter, more independent futures.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Amy and the Develop Africa Team
