Sponsor Schooling for 200 Girls of Terror Victims

Summary

In Northeast Nigeria, over 1.9 million people remain displaced due to insurgency, with girls most affected by the loss of education. Families of terror victims struggle to pay school fees, leaving many girls at risk of early marriage or child labor. This project will cover tuition, books, and uniforms for 200 girls, giving them a stable learning environment. Immediate support is needed as the new school term begins, and without help, these children will miss another year of learning.

Challenge

Insurgency in Northeast Nigeria has displaced families, destroyed schools, and left thousands of children out of classrooms. Girls are the hardest hit, as many parents cannot afford tuition after losing their livelihoods. Education is often replaced with unsafe alternatives such as street hawking, domestic labor, or early marriage. Without timely help, these girls will be trapped in cycles of poverty and vulnerability, losing the chance to learn, grow, and secure their futures.

Solution

The project will provide tuition, books, uniforms, and basic school needs for 200 girls whose families have lost income due to terror attacks. By covering direct schooling costs, families will not be forced to withdraw their daughters from education. The girls will remain in classrooms with consistent learning support, giving them stability and hope in uncertain conditions. This direct intervention will secure access to safe and structured learning.

Long-Term Impact

Educating girls from terror-affected families creates lasting benefits for both individuals and communities. Girls who complete school are more likely to delay marriage, access better opportunities, and break the cycle of poverty. Education helps reduce risks of exploitation, giving them tools for independence and community rebuilding. Supporting 200 girls today plants the foundation for stronger families and safer communities in the future.
