Dear Friends,
Greetings from BASS, India!
We are deeply grateful for your continued and invaluable support, which remains the cornerstone of our efforts to empower the college education of 17 deserving students from underprivileged backgrounds.
Your generosity is directly fueling these students' academic journeys by covering essential expenses, including tuition, accommodation, travel, study materials, and living costs. We are pleased to report that all the students are diligently pursuing their studies, with great anticipation for their upcoming final examinations.
We are particularly excited to share the significant achievements of two outstanding students: Masthanbhi and Asha have successfully completed their final year examinations for the B.Sc. Nursing program. They are now actively seeking nursing positions and have already participated in several promising interviews. Masthanbhi and Asha extend their heartfelt gratitude to each of you for your unwavering support.
Here's a summary of the students' progress:
One bright young girl completed her first year of B.Tech in Computer Engineering with excellent grades and is now preparing for her second-year end-of-semester exams.
Another dedicated student has finished her first year of the B.Sc. Nursing program, completed her annual examinations, and is currently enjoying a well-deserved summer break.
Two Computer Science Engineering students continue to excel. One has progressed to his third year, and the other has reached his final year. The final-year student has completed his examinations and is optimistic about securing a promising job soon. The third-year student has finished his second-semester exams and is currently on a one-month summer break.
Three students have successfully completed their graduation, marking a significant milestone in their academic careers.
Seven bright and determined girls, from impoverished and semi-orphan backgrounds, have been selected to pursue their intermediate education in esteemed colleges. They are enrolled in various streams, including Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry (MPC), and Commerce, Economics, and Civics (CEC with Charters Accountancy). We are incredibly proud to report that all seven girls successfully completed their first year of intermediate studies with first-division marks. Two girls are preparing for betterment exams to improve their scores.
Three students enrolled in the Intermediate Chartered Accountancy course and one student pursuing the MPC stream with IIT coaching have completed their respective first-year examinations. Following a short break, they are attending special coaching sessions before another brief recess, after which they will commence their second year of intermediate studies in the second week of June.
As we approach the new academic year, beginning in the first week of June, we are making an urgent appeal to sustain this vital work. The annual cost of supporting each student ranges from $800 to $1400.
From January to April 2025, we have gratefully received $300 in donations. While every contribution, regardless of size, makes a tangible difference, the upcoming academic year necessitates renewed support to ensure these students can continue their education without interruption.
Your continued partnership is now more critical than ever. We earnestly request you to consider sponsoring a student or making a monthly contribution. Your sustained support will be truly transformative, directly empowering these young minds as they embark on another year of learning and growth.
Once again, we extend our deepest appreciation for your compassion and belief in the potential of these bright individuals. Your contributions are actively shaping positive change, providing these students with the opportunity to achieve their dreams and build a better future for themselves and their communities.
We sincerely hope you will continue to stand with us in this crucial mission, ensuring these deserving students have the opportunity to thrive in the upcoming academic year.
With heartfelt thanks,
The BASS Team
