Giving Tuesday: Promoting Education in Pakistan – Final Report
Over the last few years, AWARD Pakistan has proudly led the Giving Tuesday campaign in the country, promoting a spirit of generosity and supporting youth-led humanitarian initiatives. The project aimed to promote education by strengthening grassroots volunteer efforts that make a huge difference in the lives of poor communities.
While this project could not progress as originally envisioned due to a lack of funding, we are grateful for the opportunities it created. With the support received, AWARD was able to organize meaningful youth engagement activities, including the campaign on the 3Rs: Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle, which mobilized young volunteers to raise awareness on environmental responsibility. In addition, smaller awareness drives were carried out in local communities, where volunteers encouraged parents to send their children back to school and emphasized the importance of education for breaking the cycle of poverty. These initiatives, though limited in scale, gave young people the confidence to lead change and reminded communities that even small efforts can inspire transformation.
The long-term vision of this project was to establish a funding pool to sustain youth initiatives for education and community development. Although we were not able to reach that stage, we witnessed firsthand the passion and energy of Pakistani youth who are committed to the Sustainable Development Goals. The campaign has planted seeds of awareness and action that will continue to grow through volunteerism and community spirit.
We sincerely thank our donors, supporters, and volunteers who stood with us in this journey. Though this project is now closing, AWARD Pakistan remains committed to promoting education and empowering youth through other ongoing programs. Together, we can continue working for a Pakistan where every child has access to education and every young person is a force for positive change.
Thank you for believing in us and for being part of this journey of generosity.
