This project was designed to promote education by supporting small, volunteer-led humanitarian initiatives that create meaningful impact in underserved communities across Pakistan. Through GivingTuesday Pakistan, AWARD Pakistan continues to provide a national platform that connects youth-led efforts, promotes generosity, and encourages community-based solutions focused on education and social development.
During this reporting period, progress was made in identifying and supporting promising initiatives under the GivingTuesday campaign. A limited number of leading youth-led projects were successfully funded under the Starling Fund of Giving Tuesday campaign, enabling them to continue educational activities, awareness campaigns, and community engagement in their respective areas. These funded initiatives demonstrate how even small financial support can significantly strengthen grassroots efforts and directly benefit poor and marginalized communities.
At the same time, 15 documented initiatives remain unfunded due to resource constraints. These initiatives, many of which focus on enrolling out-of-school children, providing educational supplies, raising community awareness, and empowering youth through learning, continue to operate with minimal resources or remain on hold. Their documentation has been completed, and they are ready to receive support once funding becomes available.
The documentation and review process carried out during this period was a critical step toward transparency, accountability, and effective use of funds. It has ensured that all initiatives are aligned with the project’s objectives of promoting education, strengthening local volunteer efforts, and creating sustainable community impact. This groundwork allows AWARD Pakistan to immediately extend support to unfunded initiatives as soon as additional resources are secured.
The need for this project remains urgent. Pakistan’s youth, representing nearly 65% of the population, have shown strong commitment to social change, yet many lack the financial backing necessary to sustain their work. Without timely support, several education-focused initiatives risk slowing down or closing, limiting opportunities for children and communities that depend on them.
We humbly appeal to our donors and supporters to help bridge this gap. Your contribution will enable AWARD Pakistan to extend funding to the remaining unfunded initiatives, strengthen youth-led education efforts, and promote a culture of generosity across the country. With your support, small initiatives can continue creating large and lasting impact in the lives of Pakistan’s most vulnerable communities.
Together, we can ensure that no promising effort to promote education is left behind due to a lack of resources.
