DTI Foundation Activity Report
Sri Lanka
DTI Foundation is an international non-profit organization based in Barcelona dedicated to improving organ donation and transplantation systems through training, consultancy, and capacity building.
In Sri Lanka, DTI Foundation has contributed to strengthening organ donation and transplantation through professional education and collaboration with local healthcare stakeholders.
One initiative has focused on providing specialized training to healthcare professionals involved in organ donation and transplantation. Through this program, a healthcare professional from Sri Lanka participated in the Advanced TPM (Transplant Procurement Management) course, an international training program developed by DTI, and completed a two-week clinical internship in a Spanish transplant center.
In addition, DTI has participated in educational activities and professional meetings in Sri Lanka, including workshops and symposia aimed at healthcare professionals involved in organ donation and transplantation. These activities have supported knowledge exchange and awareness on deceased donation and transplant coordination.
Through these initiatives, DTI Foundation contributes to strengthening professional capacity and supporting the development of organ donation and transplantation activities in Sri Lanka.
