Stronger Futures: Girls Rising Through Play

Dear Supporters,

The first months of 2026 have been a powerful reminder of what is possible when girls are given safe spaces to learn, lead, and thrive. Because of your continued support, FundLife has expanded its reach and deepened its impact—ensuring that more girls and young women are not only protected, but empowered to shape their own futures.

Across Tacloban and Dulag, girls stepped onto the field, into classrooms, and within their communities with growing confidence, stronger voices, and clearer aspirations. Through sport, mentorship, and community engagement, we continue to build pathways where girls are seen, heard, and supported.

Here are some of the milestones from the past months:

  • Reached 1,009 girls and women (263 aged 9–17 and 746 aged 18+), expanding access to safe, inclusive spaces where they can learn, play, and lead with confidence.
  • Delivered 15 football-for-development sessions integrating critical topics such as disaster preparedness, gender identity, child protection, and malnutrition prevention, equipping girls with the knowledge and resilience to navigate real-life risks.
  • Facilitated 53 mentorship sessions focused on life skills and personal development, strengthening girls’ capacity for healthy decision-making, emotional awareness, perseverance, and empathy.
  • Organized 2 tournaments (World Water Day and Summer Cup), providing platforms for girls to demonstrate leadership, teamwork, and confidence while increasing their participation in competitive sport.
  • Provided 120 WASH kits to outstanding participants, recognizing girls who modeled commitment, discipline, and sportsmanship, while supporting their health, hygiene, and dignity.
  • Trained 25 youth mentors and work immersion students on gender equity and prevention of sexual exploitation, strengthening community-based safeguarding and youth-led protection systems.
  • Engaged 127 parents, including adolescent mothers, through parental sessions that reduced stress, challenged stigma, and strengthened family support systems for girls.
  • Mobilized 146,329 kilometers of movement through the Move for Equity campaign, amplifying awareness and collective action for girls’ protection, education, and rights.
  • Supported 5 female college students through mentorship in digital literacy and career pathways, connecting them with professionals in programming, solutions engineering, and product management.
  • Opened the Dulag Dream Hub, an integrated learning and skills training center that will serve 8,000+ youth, especially girls—creating a long-term, safe space for education, leadership, and opportunity.

These milestones are possible because of you. Beyond the numbers, the true impact is seen in the courage of girls who now speak up, take leadership roles, and believe in their potential.

Together, we are not only creating opportunities—we are helping build a future where every girl can rise, lead, and thrive.

Here’s to the next chapter of impact.

With gratitude,
