Dear Donors,
Thank you for supporting this project to start a preschool for 500 children living in IDP camps in Nigeria. Your support helps children access safe classrooms, trained teachers, nutritious meals, and play-based learning, giving them a strong foundation for primary school and beyond.
Many children in IDP camps face interrupted education, malnutrition, and lack of structured learning. Without early childhood education, they struggle with literacy, numeracy, and social skills, leaving them at a disadvantage compared to their peers. Daily responsibilities or unattended hours further increase their risk of falling behind.
This project will build and run a preschool centre, providing trained teachers, learning materials, and daily meals. Classrooms will use play-based methods to develop cognitive, social, and emotional skills, while parents will be engaged through awareness sessions on the importance of early learning. This ensures children grow in a safe, supportive environment that prepares them for future schooling.
Over time, children who attend preschool will be better prepared for primary education, close early learning gaps, and develop skills to adapt and thrive. This project contributes to breaking cycles of poverty and displacement, giving children a fair start in life.
Right now, no donations have been received yet, but with your continued support, we can make this preschool a reality and offer these children the opportunity to learn and grow.
With thanks,
Joy Ojochogwu Etubi
