Summary

This project will help 50 out-of-school orphans in Nigeria start their own small grinding machine businesses. Each will receive a full setup including engine, tools, and fuel. The goal is to help them earn daily income to pay for school fees, food, and basic health needs. With $250, one orphan can fully start their own business and stop relying on street work or begging.

Challenge

Many orphans in Nigeria are not in school due to lack of money. Most have dropped out or never enrolled. They survive by begging or doing street work, without any reliable way to earn. They struggle to pay for food, school, or medical care. With no help or tools to start something, they remain trapped in poverty and face daily risks in unsafe environments.

Solution

Each orphan will receive their own grinding machine and startup supplies. They'll be shown how to use the machine, manage money, and work safely. Machines will be placed in busy areas where people come to grind grains and food items. Income from daily grinding will help them buy food, return to school, and take care of small health needs on their own.

Long-Term Impact

The project gives orphans a way to earn on their own without begging or depending on others. With income from their grinding work, they can return to school, eat daily, and live with more stability. As their work grows, they may be able to save or help others. This model can be used to reach more children and reduce the number of youth stuck on the streets.
