In October it has been concluded the inclusion of three new children completing the number of receptions provided by the project. In addition to the existing four children from Sri Lanka, four from Peru, two from the Philippines, one from Senegal and one from Ukraine, are arrived at the Kindergarten a child from Morocco, one from Ecuador and one from the Philippines. The 15 children enrolled are then all foreigners. Currently there are not expected further entries.
The canteen service run by the San Antonio Sisters is much appreciated and we have no more situations of children lacking appetite. Parents are surprised when the teachers communicate that their children finish the whole meal and still wonder food.
During the Christmas holidays, thanks to the availability of the volunteers, the Kindergarten will remain open every weekday.
Volunteers, teacher and coordinator have carried out six meetings. In November and December a number of meetings have been organized, born from the desire expressed to learn and develop the culture of origin of the children in the Kindergarten. November meeting was attended by a Peruvian cultural mediator who has worked for 17 years with the Intercultural Forum of Caritas. December meeting it was involved a parent to explain his country: Sri Lanka. The meetings will continue in January, with a cultural mediator who will explain the traditions of the Philippines.
