Nido d'Ape is a daytime Kindergarten, created to provide a space suitable for children, mostly foreigners, belonging to families or single parents who live in situations of economic disadvantage and social vulnerability. It was born in the 2000 using the availability spaces on the first floor of Casa Betania family house in Rome; Over the years the location has changed to look for new solutions that are best suited to the needs of children.
Since September 2014, day care activities take place in the premises made available generously by the Parish of San Fulgenzio (Balduina area, Rome) and is run by the Cooperativa L'Accoglienza Onlus also thanks to the contribution of volunteers of the parish itself. From the beginnings it has received more than 320 children of different nationalities.
The project is now continuing with success and satisfaction of the 20 children hosted and their families. We present some photos taken on our recent visit to Nido d'Ape.
