Dear Supporters,
Any parent who has spent three close months with a couple of bored children knows that summer is the longest season. This past academy school year ended in June and our program participants moved from the daily routine of classes to almost unlimited freedom. Three months of freedom and relaxation without any teachers, schedules, or assignments.
During the summer, we hosted a free basketball workout for every kids. These workouts were guided by Coach Pierre. These sessions consisted of 1 hour of skills work, ball handling, shoot followed by 30 open scrimmaging. The kids had also time to engage in unstructured and imaginative play.
This summer, we were so proud of Ange and Emerick who participated in the Skill Académie Basketball Camp organized by Pascal Siakam from the Toronto Raptors. This has been a great opportunity to engage with our kids during the summer.
