STEM Education through Basketball

Dear Esteemed Supporters,

As 2023 draws to a close, I wish to share a comprehensive update on the progress of our 'STEM Education through Basketball' initiative. This year has been a journey of unforeseen challenges and resilience. In April, a severe thunderstorm unexpectedly ravaged our partner school, causing extensive damage to the roof and facilities. This natural disaster necessitated an immediate pause in our project to prioritize the safety of everyone involved.

Additionally, our project timeline intersected with an unusually intense rainy season, further complicating efforts to resume activities. The school's infrastructure struggled to withstand these harsh conditions, impacting our program's smooth operation.

We recognize the importance of regular updates and progress reports to our dedicated donors and apologize sincerely for the delays and lack of communication. Our commitment to transparency and accountability remains unwavering, even in the face of these unforeseen setbacks.

Despite these hurdles, our dedication to the success of this project never wavered. In collaboration with local authorities and partners, our local team worked diligently to repair and restore the school's infrastructure, ensuring it was safe and functional. The restoration of the school's roof was a significant undertaking, and we prioritized safety above all, postponing activities until this critical work was completed.

As we approach the end of 2023, I am thrilled to announce that our project will resume in 2024. The 'STEM Education through Basketball project stands as a beacon of hope and positive change for young students in Cameroon. This year's unexpected challenges strengthened our resolve to make a meaningful impact.
