For several years, I had been exploring the world of technology on my own. I was passionate about understanding how systems worked—from software development to data analysis. I studied front-end and back-end development, as well as data processing, independently. Although it was a self-taught journey, each new lesson fueled my motivation and desire to keep learning.
One day, a friend shared with me the opportunity to apply for a scholarship to a cybersecurity bootcamp led by Makaia. For me, it was a turning point. Shifting my professional focus wasn’t a small decision, but something told me I had to go for it. I had always been interested in cybersecurity, so I decided to apply.
I was selected, and that’s how a six-month period of intensive training began. During that time, I not only gained technical knowledge in system protection, vulnerability analysis, and cybersecurity best practices, but I also acquired essential tools for entering the job market, which made a big difference. I learned how to effectively showcase my skills, how to prepare for interviews, and how to build a standout professional profile.
It wasn’t an easy path. There were demanding moments, long hours of study, and technical challenges that tested my patience. But I stayed committed. I took full advantage of every class and resource Makaia offered throughout the bootcamp. I knew this was a unique opportunity.
Thanks to all that effort, I was able to find a job shortly after completing the training. It was a deeply satisfying moment—not only because it marked a personal achievement, but also because it signaled the beginning of a new professional chapter with greater stability and potential.
Today, I look back with deep gratitude. This bootcamp didn’t just strengthen my technical skills—it restored my confidence to compete in the job market. I’m thankful to Makaia and everyone who made this experience possible. What I received went far beyond technical training; it was a true life transformation.
