Stop Hunger; Ration kit support to 500 families

"There are people in the world so hungry, that God cannot appear to them except in the form of bread.”

You are like a God to many such people who lost bread earners and livelihood during the covid 19 pandemic. The pandemic effects are less, but these families struggle to get two times proper meals.

I am very sad to share the story of Ramilaben, 74 years old lady having polio. She lost her son in the pandemic, her son was a casual labourer and sole bread earner in the family. She was depressed to lose her son suddenly. Being a senior citizen with an impairment, it was very challenging to manage to earn, and for her to survive. This project was like a messenger of God to her. When she was told that she would get Ration kits, she cried and blessed the project team. She asked the project team if that was it for one time?, the team understood her pain, and assured her that she would continue to receive Ration kits till she won't say no.
Looking into the tale of Ramilaben, the project team got the sense that there would be many senior citizens with disabilities from poor financial backgrounds who may be in the same conditions. The team did a small survey to identify such families, and 100+ families have been identified who struggle to get two times proper meal. Now, the project team has decided to adopt such families and provide ration kits on monthly basis. We request you to adopt one family for a year. The support required for one family is 250 US$.

We trust this report finds you in Good Health and Spirit. We all know hunger is worst form of human rights violation. To get two time meal is basic human rights, and this right is associated with right to life. We all experienced Covid 19 pandemic, but this pandemic has affected people with disabilities badly, mainly those people with disabilities who were into small business, lives were compeltely depending on daily earnings. Their financial conditions are compeltely deterioted. To support such families of people with disabilities, and stop them to get into begging, Ration Kits support program has been launched since first day of Lockdown in India.
We wish to share story of change Anita.
Hi, I am Anita, I am polio survival, I am from very small town of Gujarat, I have two kids. The first two weeks of lockdown was very terryfying, we were not sure that we would get two times meal. It was complete lock down, the neighbors also migrated to native villages. We were scared, whatever small savings we had, used for survival, she said. The items that I had for business, I sold it out very cheap price. I lost my business. I lost hope, and even thought to end life with two kids. But, I was contacted by Staff of Blind People's Association. The staff gave me Ration Kits which was enough for three months, they gave me their contact number too. When the ration kits was over, I called them they provided me at doorstep. I felt that God has sent their messanger to look after my kids. I thank them and donors who doanted for this nobel work.

Gradually, I started my business, this ration kits keeps me motiviating to do business beacuse I was sure that if I had no earning in day, I have food for my kids, she added. Now, my business does well, I am self reliant again. But I must say this support has stopped me to enter in Begging.

The stop Hunger Project has reached out 32000+ lives of pepople with disabilities in Gujarat, Rajasthan, Odhisa. We request you to support this project hence no soul sleeps hungry. We are committed to reachout such poor families of people with disabilities to provide them meal support.
