Stop Ugandan women & children dying at childbirth

WOW, what an amazing couple of months, we have done so well and fundraised a bit over $10,000 for the maternity department.

We have been very busy preparing the maternity floor, getting engeneering advice on all the necessary steps and requirements that approve the major theatre and safe child deliveries.

We got some great artists, who painted beautifl flowers on the walls to express the love and attention to details that we will be giving to each mother or a woman who will want to receive our services.

We have purchased loads of medical equipment, most especially the beutiful high quiality pink delivery bed that can be doubled as a gyneacological surgical bed,  baby warmer that is very necessary for a newborn, to keep him warm, whilst all necessary vitals are checked. The delivery room also has a resustitation bed, that is absolutely amazing, it has provision to give the baby a life-saving first aid right away. Two oxygen concetrators are placed in the delivery room, one for the mother and one for the baby in case they need it. 

We also imported a really good LED phototherapy machine that treats neonatal hepatitis.

The LED machine is placed above the infant's bed (which we also have and they are so cute and beautifiul), and lights its healing light (in 5 different colours). This type of machine is the only one in Jinja, and we are very happy that Whisper can continue providing its best to the very precious children in Uganda, who are often completely forgoten. 

We are still fundriasing more funds to complete the maternity department. We are almost there, but any big or small financial support is highly appreciated and taken the best care of.
