By Yuliana Marcela Tuberquia Aguirre | Lider de proyecto
For 3 years she has been trying to get out of the economic crisis experienced in her native country, Venezuela, she is Kamila, she is 36 years old, mother of 3 children including Salome of 9 who has unspecified epilepsy and from the foundation we support her with specialized consultations , exams, medications.
In Medellín, Colombia, an unknown city that opened the doors to her family, Kamila has found opportunities and possibilities to improve her quality of life and that of her children. Initially, it was only a few months, but with the passage of time he has settled completely in the city. We have benefited her with training workshops on entrepreneurship, crafts, prevention of gender violence, psychological guidance and art therapy workshops for her children; These have prompted Kamila to start a neighborhood store that little by little grows and strengthens.
With exaltation, she manifests that knowing the Patronato Foundation and being part of the project has not only opened up the possibility of socializing with other people and learning about new cultures, but has also allowed her to have autonomy and economic independence for herself and for her children the possibility of develop confidence when expressing themselves, thanks to the impact that the art therapy meetings developed from the project have had on them. Today he expresses with gratitude and a smile on his face the security and confidence that he has acquired in an unknown country, thanks to the opportunity that the Foundation has given him to belong to the project.
Like Kamila's story, there are many women who benefit from her support. We sincerely thank you for your contribution, you have really made a difference.
You are also part of their lives.
