Until now I begin to recognize and name that I live in a violent relationship, full of humiliation and mistreatment. Little by little I am gaining strength to get my life and that of my children out of that place. My name is Clara, I am 35 years old and I live in the city of Medellín in Colombia, I have three children, ages 17, 7 and 1, for months I have trained in making clothes and nail art, with these lessons I want to undertake and become in a self-sufficient woman.
I got to know the Fundación Patronato for the support they have given my little son for his farsightedness treatment, in addition, I have been part of the entrepreneurship and violence prevention project for which I am deeply grateful, thanks to this and what I learn every week I have consolidated my entrepreneurship and I begin to generate my own resources.
I have found a support network in the Foundation, I have discovered the wonderful woman that I am and abilities that I did not know before. I'm still afraid, but I'm learning to value and love myself, because I'm not only thinking about myself but also about my children and the education I want to provide them.
I am deeply grateful to all the people who make it possible for many women like me to discover how valuable they are and to break the cycles of violence. Thanks to your contribution today I see the possibility of a new life next to my children.
