Stories Change Power provides professional development in effective advocacy communications. We help all team members at mission-driven organizations - from new professionals to experienced leadership - make the most of their time, talent, funding, and opportunities through people-centered, research-based programming anchored in respect, candor, and growth. This project specifically supports cohorts of new professionals entering the field of advocacy communications.
We will never see a just, equitable, and peaceful world without adjusting current laws, policies, and systems. Even well-intentioned laws, policies, and systems fail when they are not well-informed. The organizations working to inform policymakers and advocating for change are only as effective as their communications efforts, but many do not have the budget or bandwidth to provide professional development in the emerging field of advocacy and public interest communications.
Our professional development programming equips mission-driven organizations to achieve their purpose in furtherance of a just, equitable, and peaceful world. We bring together new professionals to share best practices in advocacy, storytelling, and bridging divides, while building community, encouraging collaboration, and preventing burnout. Our cohorts encourage inter-organizational collaboration and all new professionals are matched with a mentor for ongoing support.

Effective communication is essential to an organization's impact, and professional development is essential to effective communication.
