A look at the year ahead...

By Piper Hendricks | Executive Director

Happy 2024! I hope your year is off to a strong and healthy start.

There are many exciting updates to share since my October 2023 report:

- In mid-December 2023, we completed the inaugural Stories Change Power new and emerging professionals cohort. Their feedback was incredibly positive - here's a sample: "This was a great learning experience. It has given me the tools to further engage the ideas and develop the concepts in a way that is applicable to my own professional experience."

- In January, all eight participants were matched with experienced mentors to support ongoing growth throughout 2024. I'll share more about these volunteer mentors in a future newslettter, so if you're not already receiving our bimonthly updates, be sure to sign up today

- Last week, we kicked off a free monthly series designed to reach more practitioners than we can accommodate in our small-by-design cohorts. While the series will cover topics essential to a career in advocacy communications, all are welcome regardless of field or experience level. We'll feature a range of topics this year, including political psychology to ethical storytelling.

- Interest in our new and emerging professionals cohorts and our leadership cohorts continues to grow. I look forward to sharing updates on both in the months ahead.

As always, I welcome your questions and feedback anytime.

Thank you for supporting advocacy communicators who are working toward a just, equitable, and peaceful world!

With optimism about our shared future,

Piper
