The CFEE has identified 19 categories of women and adolescent girls in Yambio, Western Equatoria who are at groups of risk to SGBV and/or former SGBV survivors: 70 women are internally displaced (IDPs), returnees and hosting them local communities. This project will positively influence on the situation and role of 70 women in family, and community through provision of small cash for quick impact activities, market-oriented life skills, and the basics on self-protection from SGBV.
Economic insecurity, lack of opportunities for self-development, economic self-reliance, no families' support, lack of vocational trainings, absence of awareness on women's rights, domestic violence and sexual /gender based violence's experience are some of the issues which our target groups of 70 women (former SGBV survivors and /or those at risk) face. Violence against rural women, adolescent girls (who often are the heads of families) in Yambio aggravated by their marginalized status.
The project clearly gives a start capital sum to each of 70 identified women and adolescent girls (350 USD per each of 70 beneficiaries who represent 70 households). This sum will be used for quick impact generating activities locally by each of beneficiairy following series of the skills' building / livelihood tools' provision trainings that will delivered /organized for them in their mother tongue language.
This project will economically support 70 former SGBV women survivors and women at risk of SGBV. This project and funds provided will stop women from risky activities that jeopardise their physical integrity, their physical, mental & reproductive health. This project will transform positively the lives of 70 beneficiaries -women and adolescent girls, regain their self esteem and dignity. This project will rise 70 women & their families out of semi-hunger, sexual and gender based violence.
