This project aims at the economic strengthening of 120 living in extreme poverty in rural area of Muhanga District. And to improve the participation of women in decision making at local levels
Removing barriers to women's economic empowerment is essentiel to inclusive and sustainable economic growth. Poor households are very high,considering their level of vulnerability women heads of households are Poor than men and their rate is 65%. We would also like to point out that in the Muhanga District the rate of participation of women in decision making process is very low and women do not have easy access to credits.
- Vulnerable women living in the rural area in Muhanga District trained in cooperative management, culture of saving and how to make income generating projects, also granting of micro credit in implementation of income generating projects. - Providing training workshop on women's leadership. - Conducting advocacy sessions with the grassroots authorities on the place of women in public life. ( participation in design, development and implementation of various public programs )
To contribute to the economic empowerment of vulnerable women living in the rural area and to improve the participation of women in decision making bodies at local levels. Also this project will educate and support 120 women which will allow them to break the cycle of poverty and became economically independent with a sustainable income, these women will be able to pay for their children to go to school, access health care resources, and provide nutritious meals to their children and family.
