LoveWay, Inc. is a volunteer driven therapeutic riding facility in Elkhart County, Indiana. The mission statement is "Transforming the lives of individuals with special needs through compassionate therapeutic equestrian experiences." LoveWay has been serving the needs of individuals with disabilities for over 45 years. LoveWay was incorporated as a 501(c)(3) not for profit organization in 1974, as one of the first therapeutic horseback riding centers in the nation.
Our riders are burdened with so many medical costs associated wit their disability and our hope is to lessen this burden with the student scholarship fund. 100% of our riders are on partial or full scholarship.
LoveWay's therapeutic riding program has proven to improve quality of life, teach transferable life skills, and impart confidence in our riders. Relationships are formed with the horses, staff, and volunteers which strengthens social skills. Therapeutic equestrian activities use horses as a learning tool to stimulate parts of the brain and body that are not reached by other methods.
Our riders learn life-changing transferable skills that will benefit them throughout their lives.
